The former Amsterdam Bar was always known for it's fantastic terrace and not much else. The new A-Bar is all about the bar with the once glorious terrace cut down to make way for a big entrance to the new A-Bar with it's bright lights mixed with copious amounts of gold and big screens for Sky Sports. A-Bar is an interesting addition to the scene and definitely a step up from the previous hotel bar. It much more of a sit down a chat bar than some of the other venues and this means it attacts an older clientele. We wish they had made the entrance smaller as it seems to split the terrace a little but as always it's still a great place to people watch on a summers day.
